“It is my humble opinion that Quartzsite deserves to be recognized as an All-American town, for it is here you will find a stellar example of the true American spirit of helpful-ness and cooperation. Look no farther than the QIA for a shining example of what is best in America. The American spirit is alive and well here. All the winter visitors should pause to thank every worker, every volunteer for his efforts. I certainly recommend you take time to drop by the Quartzsite show. The QIA deserves your gratitude and full support for that show and for its continuing community effort.”

The QIA is the place to be for winter fun in Quartzsite! Join us for dinners, dances, crafts, classes, music and general merriment. Come to a pancake (and more) supper Wednesday from 5 to 6 p.m. and meet new friends. Stay for casual dancing with music by local musicians. Check the QIA events schedule, posted in white boxes throughout the Quartzsite area, for daily and special events.

Plan on visiting our 42nd Annual QIA Pow Wow Gem & Mineral Show, January 23 - 27, 2008. This event draws millions of snowbirds and rock hound shoppers. Rock hound vendors come from all corners of the Earth to show, sell and swap their treasures. Public admission, parking and shuttle service around the nine-acre QIA show grounds are free.

Come to the craft and hobby show on the first Saturday of each month and find that special treat for that special someone. This show is for QIA members to showcase their hobbies and sell their crafts. QIA membership costs $5. Join us and come have some fun! Public admission and parking are free. Come early — these shows draw a big crowd!
